Your contributions will be used for the following purposes:
Youth Education
- Developing and expanding our educational offerings to schools.
- Producing a small publication for the students that visit the museum.
Exhibition
- Improving our documentary exhibition, including reframing the photo material and multilingual captions.
- Creating a virtual tour of the museum, so visitors can look at it online.
- Creating multimedia exhibitions, highlighting the stories of certain camp residents.
Events
- Hosting a variety of guest exhibitions which have relevance to or a connection with the themes of the museum.
- Organizing activities introducing Jewish culture, such as a Passover diner, and other Jewish holidays.
- Concerts of Jewish and/or Mediterranean music.
- Screenings of relevant documentaries with guest speakers and discussions.
- Hosting dialogues and interactive book presentations with guest speakers and/ or experts from the field.
Research
- Collecting existing material about residence of the camp and events that took place during that time.
- Collecting new material about the above.
- Finding ways to make this information accessible to the public as part of our exhibitions and/or digitally.
Construction
- Creating a space for a museum cafe, preferably with a terrace overlooking the sea.
- Refurbishing the garden area and adding sculptures relevant to the museum.
- Building a modular podium that can be used behind the museum for open air events.
